Bunnyz!

Here are a couple of cards and an ATC that I have made with my Bootiful Stampz.

The first card could be used to invite a friend over for a coffee morning. I used the cup of bunny stamp, but replaced the balloons with flowers.

The next card used a bunny stamp AND a bunny diecut, I randomly stamped peeking bunny over a square white card then coloured them in with watercolour pencils.
I used the diecut bunny (bought from Auntys Store) as the main embellishment, sticking it to the greeting and then adding paper flowers that I bought from my friend Lesley (and which arrived today!) to finish the card.

The following atc was made using the love u bunny stamp, I used just bunny on its own to look like the easter bunny holding a basket of eggs which I drew by hand before colouring in with watercolour pencils again. The bunny was mainly coloured with pens though.

Tilda & Co - wishing you well

This weeks challenge on Tilda & Co is to make a get well project.
I have made this get well card using my favourite cardstock by Chatterbox from their Chateau range, this is 'upholstery' and it's luvvly! the pattern on one side and the stripe on the other.
I stamped tilda with bird and coloured her with watercolour pencils, I then put tilda onto a piece of hand painted card, then layered this with the chatterbox card. I added the greeting to the outside, and I have written Get Well Soon inside the card.

Matchbox theatre

Sally from Auntys Forum set the teams an extra challenge to be completed before the end of March, so plenty of time but I knew what I wanted to do, a matchbox theatre!
I didn't use a small matchbox for this, I used a large 'cooks' matchbox.
I started by painting inside and out with acrylic paint, then added paper inside for a background to the theatre masks that were made from card. I used foam pads to raise the masks from the base. I then created a stage setting from burgundy card and used a gold gel pen to highlight it and create a surround. I used the wrapper from a chocolate bar to make the curtains lol.

Wednesday 20 February 2008

Yesterday, while shrinking bunnyz, I also made 2 pirate charms, the ships wheel and the jolly roger flag, using a couple of the many stamps that I won in a competition on Auntys Forum last year. These stamps were donated as a prize by Tanda Stamps. I made this for my son, he has hung it off the zip of his pencil case.

I have already showed you my Dad's birthday card that I made for him from my kids, but I haven't shown you the card I made for him from Me and my hubby, here it is...

Look what I made with the bunny charmz...

Yesterday I showed you the bunny charmz that I made from shrink plastic, well this is what I made with the pink peeking bunny charm and another purple peeking bunny charm (not shown on yesterdays photo)... I have sent this mobile phone charm to my friend Sally of Bootiful Stampz, as a little thank you for choosing me for her design team and also for the fabulous bunny stampz that she sent me......Thank you Sally! xx

The bracelet was made for Sally's daughter, Ruby...

Vino!

This months team challenge over at Auntys forum was set by Julies Jemstars, they asked us to use paint on our projects.
This is an ATC that I made this evening...
I used acrylic paints to sponge dab the background, I then stamped the vine leaves and hand drew the bunches of grapes. Next I diecut a wine bottle and used permanent pens to colour it in, then diecut 2 wine glasses from acetate, using a permanent pen again to make the 'wine'.
This ATC is going to my friend Jane, she knows how much I love froggies & sent me an adorable tree frog ATC and 3 gorgeous card toppers. Thanks again Jane xx

Challenge entries...

This weeks challenge over at Papertake Weekly is 'spring in your step' and this week there's also some fabulous bunny stamps up for grabs! sponsored by Bootiful Stampz.
Obviously, as I already have a set of these wonderful stamps I don't expect this card to be entered into the prize draw, I did however, want to make a card with a 'spring' theme... Bunnies and daisies!..
I have used lilac pearlescent card and Rusty Pickle 'weathered daisy' paper. I punched some white flower shapes and coloured in the centre of them yellow. I stamped 6
blanket bunny images, coloured them in then stamped the word SPRING onto the blankets, which could also be postage stamps or picture frames too eh? - see? these stamps are so versatile!
Good luck in the challenge!

The fresh, simple looking card below I have made for my friend's birthday. Over at Arty Girlz this week the challenge is 'Green', to have the colour green in your project. The flash on my camera has made the floral paper on this card look more yellow than the lime green that it actually is. I cut the word FRIEND and the flowers with my cricut, and again in a dark jade colour using the shadow option to create a border around the floral paper. I used pale jade card as a backing which I stuck to a white card blank. I finished the card with a stamped greeting.

Bootiful Stampz DT work

woohooo! I have new bunny stampz to play with!
Sally from Bootiful Stampz sent her design team (Lesley and me) some bunnyz to get to work with.
I have stamped and coloured loads of bunnyz in preparation for upcoming projects, but thought I'd show you a quickie I made for my son last night.
He wanted me to make a bookmark with a rugby ball and his name on it.
He didn't want "lots of fuss" infact, he drew me a diagram of what he wanted, lol. But I asked him if he'd like a bunny on it, he said as long as the bunny wasn't girly then that would be ok, lol.
So I matted and layered white, red and blue card, handcut a rugby ball, stamped his name, then stamped a peeking bunny and watercoloured it, but made bunny's nose have the St George cross. Jake's happy, altho he has told me that I have to laminate it for him so it doesn't get ruined. A job for later then!

The following picture is of a few bunnyz that I have stamped onto shrink plastic, coloured in using permanent pens, punched a small hole into then grabbed the heat gun and shrunk down to approx 3cm in size. I've attached jump rings ready to use them in jewellery and/or cards (infact, I have made something using the pink bunny but can't show it you just yet..watch this space!)
Bunnyz used are Love U Bunny & Peeking Bunny

Will be uploading more DT work by the end of the week!

Challenge cards...

Here are my cards for this weeks challenges. Firstly, this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge which this week is 'simply stripes', I used my cricut to cut the large flower and handcut the leaves, the 'happy birthday' greeting is a stamp that was a freebie from a mag.

And here is my card for this weeks Arty Girlz challenge, this week the theme is 'Stamping'. Crissi & Julie asked us to use any stamps that are in our collection. I used my inkadinkadoo 'a kid like me' stamps, I love the little jumping girl stamp and used it to create a cartwheel effect, the word 'friend' is also from this set. The leaves and flowers were stamped using the stamps that came with my fiskars stamp press.

ARTY GIRLZ challenge - frames

This week over at Arty Girlz the theme is 'frames', My Dad will be 65 in March, so I have made him this card from my kids. Just incase you are wondering, I haven't spelt Gramps wrong, lol, my kids call him Grumps, although I have no idea why because he isn't a grumpy person!
I used a couple of filmstrip diecuts that my good friend Rosie very kindly sent to me as a RAK.
I used them to frame the photos of my kids, I was going to use a photo of my Dad in the spare film cell but decided to draw a caricature of him instead to make the card more fun!

for my Mother...

I have just completed this card for my Mom, it's for Mothers day on March 2nd (early this year).
Over at Auntys, the team challenge for Feb is to use paint somewhere in your project.

This technique was first shown by Crissi, she did a fabulous card for her sons birthday, I followed her instructions and made one for my sons birthday too. I think this looks so effective, so I decided to use this technique for my moms card.
I started off by printing out a photo of a daffodil, I cut a piece of acetate to fit over the top then drew the outline of the flower with a permanent marker. I took away the photo and painted in the flower with acrylic paints on the reverse of the design so that the black marker still shows and you just see a coloured in flower as opposed to a mess lol.
I used my new purple cows paper cutter to make the paper ribbons and hand wrote 'Mother' with black pen then gold gel pen.

My Easter card entry

Sally from Bootiful Stampz has set a competition to design an Easter card and theres a set of bunny stamps up for grabs!
If you would like the chance to WIN a set of Bunny Stampz - here is what you have to do!
Easter is coming up soon, so i would like you to create an Easter Card.
It MUST contain pastel colours, can be any subject, humorous, traditional etc.

Here is my card, firstly I looked through my stash and realised i don't have much associated with easter so decided to hand draw 2 easter eggs, which I coloured with my watercolours then cut out, I stamped my large peeking bunny, coloured him in and cut him out also. I then glued these to some cream pearlescent card, added punched flowers, then layered this card onto green paper before mounting onto a white card blank. I didn't want a greeting to distract from the design so hand drew a small gift tag, cut that out and stuck it to the egg.

So, go on have a go yourselves! you could win some fantastic bunny stamps!! further details on the Bootiful Stampz blog.
Good luck xx

Papertake weekly challenge...

Here is my card for this weeks Papertake Weekly Challenge. This weeks theme is 'Blooming Gorgeous' and we are to use florals in our work, I chose punched flowers to adorn this birthday cake card, the inspiration for the card was taken from a magazine, when I saw it I thought how lovely! and wanted to try summat similar myself. I also think that this card design would look great for a wedding card.

Magnolia challenge #5

This weeks challenge over at Tilda & Co is one we can choose
You can Either Chose to do a ROMANCE Or you can chose to do BUCKLE
I chose romance as I had just made the background paper and wanted to try it on a card, I mounted it onto pale brown cardstock then used eyelets to fix it to the card blank.
I handcut a heart from the same light brown cardstock and used my watercolours to distress it.
Finally I added my magnolias which were painted with watercolours too. Hope you like it.
