Sweet... Seventeen

Good Morning everyone!
This weeks challenge over at Sketch Saturday is sponsored by the totally fabulous...

If you win our challenge this week, you will be the owner of a new Tim Holtz movers & shapers die! WOW!
Here's my card...

I've used Kraft cardstock to make this card, along with paper by Echo Park (little girl kit). I paper pierced them and then dragged a brown pen through the holes to resemble stitching. The pretty image is from The Greeting Farm, I coloured her with PMs and this is the first time I am completely happy with how I have coloured the hair.
The flowers were made with a retro flower punch and a stamen punch, sponged, then given a bit of added sparkle in the middle.
The sentiment was handwritten to start with (SEVENTEEN), and then stamped with a SeeD's 'Happy Birthday' stamp over the top.
Lots of sponging on this card with 2 SU inks, Close to Cocoa & Pretty in Pink.

This card is for my God-daughter, who will be 17 tomorrow.
So please don't tell her about this post until she has opened the card!
Thanks ;)

I'm entering this card into the following challenges at:

Cupcake - shabby sparkle
 I {heart} ProMarkers - anything goes
craft us crazy - anything goes
Bling it on - anything goes
Squigglefly - KRAFTASTIC!
Kaboodle Doodles - stitching (faux or real)
Allsorts - Free & Easy

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend xx

Here is my card this week...

another crimble card.

I coloured the cute WoJ image with PMs but then got out my pencils to colour the background because I wanted it to look more textured, I also added extra pencil to the 2 mice too after colouring them in first with PMs.
The star embellishments were punched out, the large star was punched with a nellie snellen stamen punch, backed with deep red cardstock and then a crystal gem added to the centre on the front, it sort of reminds me of a xmas tree decoration, I really like the effect.
The patterned paper is by Dovecraft, and the sentiment is by Studio G.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Cupcake - Wish Upon a Star
Papertake Weekly - getting cute
I {heart} PMs - Christmas in July

Christmas in July

Time for another Sketch Saturday challenge, and our sponsor this week is...

Photobucket

You could be the lucky winner of a $25 shopping spree in their awesome store if you are this weeks challenge winner :)

I decided to make a crimbo card this week, using this fab 'Helping hand' image from Dustin Pike, coloured with promarkers.

The papers are by My Mind's Eye - 'complete boy' and I used 3 punches while making this card (4 if you include the circle punch for the Stamps Away sentiment)
The 3 punches were:
Xcut - Diamond
Xcut - Sparkler
All Night Media - snowflake
The xcut punches are fab, I will be getting more of their designs over time, they punch well and are easy to line up, the ANM punch however has always been very stiff to use with cardstock, I've tried punching through foil and greaseproof paper but it still sticks and won't do as it's told unless I use paper instead of cardstock (the cardstock used here is only 160gsm too)
I had to get Hubby to punch out my snowflakes for me... brute force was needed.

I'm entering the following challenges with this card:
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Lollipop Crafts - anything goes
Bearly Mine Challenges - anything goes
One Stitch at a Time - use a digi
Sentimental Sundays - anything goes (plus a sentiment)
Digi's with Attitude - anything goes

yep, lots of anything goes challenges! ;)

Thanks for stopping by, don't forget to see what The Saturdays have made this week too,
have a wonderful weekend! xx

Cupcakes that don't have calories :)

This card has been made using the cupcakes that I designed for Cupcake Craft Challenges.

I used my step by step digi sheet, well I used half of the sheet actually because the sheet has enough for two 3D toppers, or for 6 individual images if preferred.
I also have an over the edge 3D topper and a sheet of digi stamps available too for the same cupcake design. You can find them HERE, at my new blog...

other items used:
SU creamy caramel cardstock
SU more mustard patterned paper (inside)
SU sentiment from 'crazy for cupcakes'
acetate
white cardstock
white gel pen
Xcut 4cm border punch - sparkler
crystal gems

Thanks for looking xx

Bente's DT week

EDIT: guess who forgot to schedule her own DT post!

This week, over at Sketch Saturday, the lovely Bente is hosting her first DT week, and has provided us all with a lovely sketch, thanks Bente!
We are sponsored this week by Papilio Stamps

Here's my card, not the best photo, sorry.

This is my second card actually, the first one wasn't completed because the stars in the sketch design didn't suit it and flowers didn't look right either, so i'll keep the image and papers for another card sometime.
So I looked through my papers to see which would look good as stars, and this tiny yellow and blue star paper from my sizzix pad worked well :)
I like the yellow and blue combo of this card, it looks much better in real life than in this photo, will take another pic in daylight.

The plain blue and yellow paper is also from the same sizzix pad, I embossed the yellow with my swiss dots folder, and used my SU eyelet border punch on the blue piece.
The cupcakes were coloured with PMs, highlighted slightly with a white gel pen.
The greeting is from my SU 'crazy for cupcakes' stamp set.

You will be blown away by the awesome cards made by the DT and our fab GD for July, Janne. Please go take a look, I love them all, they are such talented and inspirational ladies.

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope that you will join us this week for Bente's sketch challenge :)

have a great weekend everyone xx
