FEB Rudolph Day

Today is Rudolph Day over at Auntys Forum, and I have made 2 cards using my very own sketch...

This first card uses Pollycraft's Star Chester, which I bought as a digi a while ago. I coloured Chester with promarkers.
The patterned papers used on this card are both from the same SU dsp set 'ski slope', which, I believe, is now discontinued :(  I'm using the last of my scraps, probably have enough to make one or two more cards.
The sentiment is from a fizzy moon stamp set.

I'd like to enter Chester at:
Allsorts - animals
Crafting By Designs - anything goes
I love Promarkers - four legged friends
Penny's Paper Crafty - anything goes
Kaboodle Doodles - use any bling
The Pink Elephant - anything goes
Little Miss Muffet Challenges - blue & yellow (anything goes, using pollycraft image)

********************************

Now this card, i'm not happy with, I attempted to use a couple of swirly stamps in place of the tiny embellishments in the sketch, and it didn't turn out IRL as it did in my head...saying that, I do love this penguin...

I wanted to go with a totally different colour scheme than you'd normally associate with christmas, so chose pink and purple, colouring the scarf on the cute facebook freebie Polly Penguin from DigiStamp Boutique to match.
The sentiment was on a sheet of clear stamps free with a craft magazine.

I'd like to enter Polly at DSB blog's customer competition

Tulips for Mothers Day

Here's another commissioned card I was asked to make for Mothers Day, this time i've used Tulips by The Stamping Boutique. Sorry I can't link directly because I can't find this digi stamp on their site anymore, which is a shame because it's a beauty.

I printed the image 3 times, and coloured with promarkers before cutting it out so that I could 3D it with foam pads.
The main sentiment is computer generated, and the 'Best Mum' tag was stamped using a clear stamp from a magazine. Bit of matting and layering and a tiny bit of bling, job done! hope the lad at work likes it, more importantly, I hope his Mom does!

I'm entering this card at:
Sweet Stampin - mothers day / special lady
Totally Papercrafts - spring colours and/or image
Crafty Cardmakers - blooming images
Paper Makeup Stamps - Anything goes / use a digi
Inky Chicks - Mothers Day or Birthday
Sentimental Sundays - flowers, flowers and more flowers

Thanks for looking xx

love birds...

...That's the name of this digi stamp from Wee Stamps, and isn't it a cutie?
It was a freebie which was given via facebook, I can't find it on the website, but it's still on their facebook page  if you're interested.

I coloured the image with promarkers. The 'anniversary' sentiment banner isn't part of the image, that was part of a clear stamp set which came free with a craft magazine.
The patterned papers were also free, and are called 'Western Romance & All About Me'.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Paper Makeup Stamps - Anything goes / use a digi
Penny's Paper Crafty - Anything goes
Crafting By Designs - Anything goes
The Paper Shelter - Celebrations
Allsorts - Things with wings
C.R.A.F.T challenge - Recipe: 1 circle, 2 squares, 1 sentiment, use ribbon.

Little 'girl' Archie

Hello, I have another card to show you today.
For this card, i've used DigiStamp Boutique's Valentine Archie, which is on offer this month for just 95p.

As you can see, Archie is actually a little girl on this card as i've added a little pink bow to 'her' head.
If you don't want to add a bow yourself, you can buy Valentine Olivia instead who already has a little bow for you to colour. I like the option to add a bow if I need to.
The backing paper is by EK Success and is called pollyanna. I found this paper amongst some mixed sheets I bought years ago when I first started card making but have never used.
I've used SU boho blossoms punch for the flowers, adding pink crystals for a bit of added bling.
The white leaves were die cut using a Marianne creatables die, they actually look a little lost in this pic, but IRL they do stand out much better.
The sentiment is computer generated.

I'm entering this card into DigiStamp Boutiques customer competition.
and also into:
Paper MakeUp's challenge - Anything Goes (digi makeover)
Shopping Our Stash - use your oldest designer paper
Digital Tuesday challenge - pink & white
Inky Chicks - Mothers Day or Birthday
Charisma Cardz - anything goes

Sunday makes...

Here's a couple of cards i've made.
This first card is part of a commission order...

I used this truly beautiful and delicate image by DigiStamp Boutique; Sketchy Cherry Blossom. It's actually on offer for this month and is only 95p!
I made a simple frame in my paint program and added the image to it, then coloured it with my promarkers.
I printed out the flowers twice so that I cut 3D them.
The sentiment is also computer generated, and layered on top of the frame using a pretty cArt Us border beneath it, and adding some little diamonds (crystals) to embellish it and finish it off.

I'd like to enter this card into:
DSB blog's customer competition
I love promarkers - one for the girls
Charisma Cardz - anything goes
Crafting When We Can - Birthstones (diamonds for April)

************************

This card has been made for my daughter's boyfriend.
I used one of my favourite images, one I often go to for male cards. It's a Pollycraft image; Beer Monster...

Rich is a wolves fan (wolverhampton wanderers) and this is my second card to be made recently for wolves fans. I'm more used to making blue and white cards for Baggies fans, BOING! BOING!! :D
Anyway, I digress, back to the card, so as a wolves related card, I had to go with the orange and black theme. The stripy paper is from a Dovecraft paper pack, Abstract Prints.
'Happy Birthday' is computer generated.
'cheers to you' is from a stampin up stamp set of the same name. I drew the speech bubble myself.
'rich' was made with die cut letters (die-namics by the letter), as you can see I still haven't got around to getting the uppercase die-namics dies yet, hence the lowercase 'r'.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Totally Gorjuss - for the men
Sweet Stampin - stars and stripes
Stamptacular - TWO's company (2 punched stars. Also 2 stamps, one digi, one rubber)
ABC challenge - H for Happy Birthday

thanks for stopping by today xx

Cheers To You Dude

I took myself and a coffee, (no mcvities this time though) into my craft room this afternoon to make this card...

It will be sent to my friend's husband whose birthday is at the end of this month.
I used Kenny K's Cheers Dude digi image, and coloured it with promarkers.
The checkered paper is from a sizzix pad (little sizzles - country) and the navy mulberry paper was from my scraps drawer.
The sentiment is from my SU Cheers To You stamp set.

I used the sketch provided by this weeks challenge over at Cupcake.

Cute Chester

Here's Letter Chester, an image (digi) I originally bought from Pollycraft, but is now available in rubber at Little Miss Muffet Stamps...

I coloured Chester with promarkers and cut him out to add to the front of this layout, which happens to be the current challenge over at LMM challenges, to use the sketch provided.

Patterned papers used are by Dovecraft, with pieces of gold shimmer vellum to layer too (sadly, the shimmer isn't showing in the photo).
I used my SU eyelet border punch for the scalloped strip across the middle.

I'd also like to enter Chester at:
Bearly Mine - Anything goes
Christmas Card Challenges - scallops

Thanks for looking xx

SNOW, go away now!!

We've got more snow here :(
We don't want anymore thank you, we're looking forward to spring arriving and the white stuff just spoils it.
The only good thing about having snow, is that it makes you want to shut yourself away in a warm room surrounded by craft stash and a mug of something hot (and maybe a couple or six of mcvities double chocolate digestives - mmmmmmm! )

The following card was made for the challenge and using the sketch from Seize the Birthday, who want us to make a feminine birthday card this week...

The cute image is a prize from Crafty Sentiments and is called Tess Summer Fun. It has a floral background to it and although very pretty, I decided to use just Tess alone for this card, this is the reason I requested this particular image because you can use her with or without the background and also with long hair or even give her a haircut and she has a short bob hair style. I like to get images that can be used in more ways than one.
I used some lovely floral paper that was free with a craft mag and is called 'sew pretty'
The diamond patterned paper is by Nitwits.
I also used gold mirror card, xcut scalloped circle die, sentiment from SU fun and fast notes stamp set.

As well as the Seize the Birthday challenge, I'd also like to enter this card at:
Crafty Sentiments Designs challenge blog - anything goes

****************************

This next card is a stepper card (love this style of card).

I have used the adorable 'Cat with flower' digi image from Motivet and coloured with promarkers, lots of blending in this one with different shades of browns to get the effect I wanted. I used caramel, tan, cocoa and umber.
The patterned paper is from an old pad I had when I had a cricut machine and is called 'tags, bags, boxes and more'.
Just for you sentiment is from my SU 'Oval All' stamp set, and the flowers were punched using my SU boho blossoms punch. The leaves are from a woodware punch.

I'd like to enter this card at:
The Paper Shelter - card with many folds
Papertake Weekly - anything goes

Thanks for stopping by, if you have to go out today, wrap up warm and don't forget your wellies xx

for a 21st birthday

I'm quite happy with how this card turned out, it's very pretty and sparkly, perfect for a special birthday...

The image is ideal for a 21 year old young lady who loves shopping, it is of course 'madison attitude' by Kenny K. The spotty paper was from a free 6x6 paper pad that came with a craft magazine ('with love' by me to you)
The sentiment is computer generated. I used silver mirror card, flowers & red and clear crystals and a xcut 'sparkle' punched border to finish.

I'd like to enter this card at:
The Paper Shelter- card with folds
The Pink Elephant - inspiration photo (I went with the red and pink colour palette)
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Bearly Mine - anything goes
I love Promarkers - Happy Birthday (and a happy 3rd birthday to all the DT from me)
Oldie but a Goodie - red & pink... old stash used = image bought May 2012, and crystals which i've had for an eternity ;)

Thanks for looking xx

White Rabbits!

Well actually it's a lemon one ;)
Here's my first card for this month...

Whimsy Stamps gave away this cute bunny doll digi on facebook recently, if you missed it, don't worry, it's available to buy from their store HERE.
I coloured bunny doll with promarkers before cutting it out (easy with this image).
The patterned papers are both from the same 'sweet always' collection by Stampin Up.
'aunt' is die cut with sizzix dies I believe, I received these years ago in a RAK from a friend and found them in a ziploc bag at the back of my scraps drawer, and are perfect for this card, so glad I found them.
The sentiment is also by SU, from their 'fun & fast notes' stamp set, and punched out with their word window punch.
For a final bit of SU, I used my boho blossoms punch to make the yellow flowers.
The pretty border edges were made using my xcut 'sparkle' punch.

I made this card for Februarys colour challenge at Auntys Forum, and I'd like to also enter this card at:
Top Tip Tuesday - layers (my 3rd & final entry)
Creative Card Crew - girly (my 3rd & final entry)
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
MAWTT - punch it out
Cute Card Thursday - a different corner
Totally Gorjuss - flowers
ABC challenge - G for going dotty

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day xx
