For Laura & Richard

...for their engagement, quickie make for me as we're visiting soon to take Laura's birthday cards/pressies too.

DAZ (CAS) cards are perfect for engagement/wedding cards don't you think?
I've used my stylised flowers enbossing folder on the back piece.
I wish somebody would make square embossing folders (preferably in different sizes too), I had to use the folder twice for this card, and the design is difficult to match up. Thankfully, the image is covering the part where the embossing meets :)
The goblet glasses were a freebie stamp from a craft mag, I added a little colour with SU markers, bashful blue & pretty in pink, and punched out two hearts in similar cardstock (not from SU)
The sentiment is computer generated, colouring with a touch of bashful blue also.

I took inspiration from this weeks sketch at Less is More, but I am not entering the challenge because my image and sentiment dimensions are bigger than required to enter. All the same, the sketch is fab for a quick make, thank you Jen!

I can however, enter the challenge over at Sweet Stampin, who are asking for anything but birthday this week :)

Laura's 22nd

My daughter, Laura, will be 22 this Wednesday. She's a girly girl and loves pink, hearts, kitties... you get the idea, so this image and these papers were perfect for her birthday card from us this year...

The image is a digi by Saturated Canary and is called Jules, coloured with promarkers. I'm not at all happy with her hair, it's the one area I need to practice on, and maybe get some more colours to achieve better results. That said, I am happy with how this card turned out. It's very Laura.
The 4 patterned papers used are digi's too, called Cuckoo 4 U, this colourway is 'strawberry love'. I've also printed out some more papers from this collection but in the 'true blue' colourway, but that's for another card for another day ;)
Punches used: Xcut 'sparkle' (border), and 2 woodware heart punches.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Sketch Saturday - sketch #256
Crafting When We Can - personalise it
Crafty Sentiments Designs - monochromatic
Digital Tuesday Challenge - birthdays, use a digi
Crafting By Designs - anything goes
Pennys challenge - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp challenge - anything goes

Now off to make an engagement card for Laura and her fiance Richard. Yep, he's proposed! :)

Thanks for looking xx

CAS get well wishes

Please scroll down to see my first LMM DT card and details of the fab new release!

Here's a quick card I put together in 40 minutes or so.
I already had the image printed for this card, all I had to do was colour it in, and assemble the elements of the layout , which is for this months card making challenge at Auntys forum. I knew I wanted to use this image when I saw Kathy's CAS sketch, although originally I intended to fussy-cut out the daisies, but just as I was about to put scissors to card I decided they'd look better within the frame instead.

The image is from Beccy's Place, coloured with promarkers, who also has a flowers theme challenge this month, i'm just in time to enter this card as the closing date is 30th April.
The sentiment is from SU's fun and fast notes stamp set.
I didn't have any plain green or deep yellow cardstock at hand, so I used white card and then grabbed two promarkers that i'd used for the image to colour a thin border around the edge so that it would match perfickly. Good tip that eh?
I added polka dots with dovecraft back to basics paper pack, and my swiss dots embossing folder which I used on the scalloped circle piece which is tucked beneath the top of the image.
I'd also like to enter this at:
Totally Gorjuss - embossing
Kaboodle Doodles - spring
I love Promarkers - square card with something round on it.
Penny's challenges - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp challenge - anything goes
Charisma Cardz - polka dots

thanks for looking :) xx

Little Miss Audrey

Yay! Today is the day to show you my debut card as a member of the Little Miss Muffet Design Team :)
Barbara has a new release out today, and this beautiful girl is part of it, please say hello to Audrey...

She's so pretty isn't she? You can find Audrey and the other fabulous images in this new release over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
How about joining in with our current challenge, Food, Glorious, Food?  how cool would Audrey look sitting on a giant cupcake eh? Of course, Little Miss Muffet has lots of other images you could use too, the challenge doesn't close until next Wednesday, so you still have plenty time to join us.
For my card, Audrey is coloured with promarkers and then cut out, I thought it would be nice to have her popped up on foam pads, sitting on the edge of the frame - instead of a cupcake eh? ;).
The frame is a Lea'bilities die, which has been given a bit of bling with some diamond gems, and what girl doesn't love diamonds?
All 3 patterned papers are from the paper pack La Petite Paperie by Carina Gardner, called 'Marguerite'.
The sentiment is by SU (fun and fast notes).

I'd like to enter this card at:
Craft Your Passion - Diamonds are a girls best friend
Digital Tuesday Challenge - Birthdays
Pennys challenge - anything goes
Crafty Creations - pink plus one other (green in my case)
Simon Says Stamp challenges - anything goes

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll go take a look at what the other Little Misses have made for this fabulous new release too. And don't forget to stop by the LMM store to see what you can get your hands on ;)

Jareth

My daughter, Emma, loves the film Labyrinth. So when I found this image from MayzyArt I just knew I had to use it for her birthday card this year. Here's Jareth, the Goblin King.

No handstamping at all for this card, Jareth is a digi, I coloured him with promarkers, and very slowly cut out the image to keep the fine detail of the tears in his cloak. I googled for a labyrinth image for the background and then looked through my digi papers to find a couple of papers I wanted to use, then colourised them all so that they would match.  I punched the text piece with my SU eyelet border punch. The sentiment is computer generated.
It's my daughters birthday on Tuesday, but her birthday celebrations start today, so i'm pretty sure she won't be stopping by my blog in the next few days and see this.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Shopping our stash - use text
Penny's paper crafty - use a sentiment
Inky impressions - punches/dies
MAWTT - fantasy and fairies
Totally Papercrafts - monochromatic
Crafting when we can - at the movies

Thanks for stopping by today xx

UPDATE: This card's a winner! woohooo! thank you Moving Along With The Times challenge :) xx

Little Miss Jo

YES! that's right! if you take a look at my left sidebar, you will see that I am now one of the Little Miss Muffet Challenges design team! Woohoooo! :) :) :)
It's been almost a year since I was part of a design team, and i'm a little rusty to be honest, but i'm sure i'll soon get back into the swing of things, i'm really looking forward to this new chapter of my card making, and to creating alongside the already fabulous design team, it's going to be oodles of fun I just know it! :)
My Mom always said I was a little madam, well now I can tell her that i'm a Little Miss!

As my arrival was only arranged yesterday evening, I haven't got a card to share with you for this fortnight's challenge, but don't let that stop you from seeing what the other Misses have been up to, all you have to do is CLICK HERE, and it will take you there ;)

Thanks for stopping by xx

For Nan

It's not my mom's birthday until the end of August, but as I was making some family birthday cards for my son anyway, I thought i'd make an easel card for Jake to give to her later in the year...

This lovely image is by Bugaboo and is called Rose Can. I coloured using my usual promarkers. I added the happy birthday sentiment (SU's fun and fast notes stamp set) and also added the little tag too.
The spotty paper is by Dovecraft (back to basics) and the green floral strip is by SU (tea party dsp).
I used a xcut border punch (sparkle) and a butterfly die which was free in a craft mag.

I'd like to enter this card at:
Kaboodle Doodles - any shade of pink
Lexi's Creations - use punches or dies
The Pink Elephant - use spring colours
Bearly Mine - anything goes
Sweet Stampin - scallops
Cute Card Thursday - butterfly kisses
Fab n Funky - spring colours

Thanks for looking xx

Yummy!

A sundae on a Thursday :)

The Paper Shelter challenge theme this week is Spring delights, so I used pastel colours and promarker coloured in this DELIGHTful image by TPS called Yummy!, I hope it still applies to the challenge, as an ice cream sundae is more of a summer treat I suppose, but what's a season between friends eh? we have ice cream all year round in this house anyway ;)

The spotty paper is by SU (tea party dsp) as is the sentiment (crazy for cupcakes stamp set)
'sister' was cut using die-namics 'by the letters' dies, and the pretty scalloped edge was cut using a cArt-Us die (fountain).

I'd also like to enter this card at:
Kaboodle Doodles - any shade of pink
Lexi's Creations - use punches or dies
The Pink Elephant - use spring colours
Bearly Mine - anything goes
Sweet Stampin - scallops

Thanks for stopping by today xx
