Cheers to you SU

Needed a quick card (like 'can you make a card in the next 10 minutes' quick)
Needed to be for a man who is a beer drinker.

Hello Stampin Up!
I grabbed my 'Cheers To You' stamp set and made the background by stamping in memento ink, then coloured it in with promarkers - sandstone for the ale glasses and satin for the background so that the froth would stand out better.
Mounted onto gold shimmer paper, added a strip of gold vellum across the front, then die cut the shape for the stamped greeting with a cArt-Us die and the letters for his name out of kraft cardstock using dies from die-namics (by the letter).... et voila!
Job done.

Might as well enter this card in a couple of challenges, well it would be rude not to eh? ;)

Instagram for Lauren

I saw a card on my blog travels some time ago. It was a pink instagram card, and thought at the time that it would be a nice girly card. I'll point you in the direction of the blog if/when I ever find it again.
So now it's time to make a birthday card for my Goddaughter, and I knew that an instagram card would be just perfect for her this year.  I googled a pic of the image for reference and then got out my cardstock, scrap pieces of paper, scissors and punches to replicate the design for Lauren...

It didn't take very long to make as it's made using basic geometric shapes, I just glued the shapes down and layered the lens parts with foam pads to 3D it a little.
I do hope Lauren will like it.

I'd like to enter this card at:

Rudolph Day - July

Over at Auntys forum, the 25th of each month is Rudolph day. July's challenge has been set by Kathy, and she has given us the theme... HOLLY.
Here's my card...

I chose this adorable image because firstly I so wanted to colour him up, and secondly, it has holly in the image too. This is 'Spencer Loves Christmas', a Pollycraft digi that is available to buy exclusively from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. Seriously, you need this little cutie in your christmas image collection.
I coloured Spencer with my promarkers, and teamed him up with gold vellum, gold mirror card, and papers from HOTP (red) and Kaisercraft (green).
The pretty border punch used is by Xcut.
I decided to embellish the card further by adding some homemade holly, made by using a small circle punch on some oval pieces of card stock that I had coloured holly green, finishing with a red button.
The sentiment used is from Stampin Up, from their 'Best Yet' stamp set.

That's another crimbo card made for the collection :)

Little Miss BIG Tuesday

Morning all, today sees a fabulous Pollycraft new release over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
There's also your Friday Freebie, and another Sunday Spotlight at a fab discounted price too.
Get yourself over there to grab your freebie and take a special offer ;)
But before you go, please let me show you my card using one of our new release images, this little beauty is Claudia Loves Christmas...

I wanted to layer Claudia's face, hat, arms and bauble, but used glue instead of foam pads.
I decided to change the little bell hanging from Claudia's christmas elf hat to a pom pom, so I found a piece of pom pom trim in my ribbon box, but it was white and it didn't look right, so I had to colour it in to match with a promarker. Much better, it needed colour.
The papers used are all by Kaisercraft, from their Christmas Tradition pad.
My sentiment is yet another taken from my own sheet, Ticket Sentiments - Christmas.

Here's a pic showing the gentle layering and the pom pom...

If you would like to see more of this adorable new release, then please go to the Little Miss Muffet store.

Bugaboo Christmas Blog Hop!

Every day this week, there will be something fabulous going on at Bugaboo with brilliant prizes along the way.
You can click on Santa to join in the fun! ;)
This is the first stop on the hop...

Second stop on the hop is the LMM challenge blog.
This is where the Little Misses have joined in too, using some of the new Fancy Sunbonnet christmas release, here is my card...

This little darling is FSB Christmas, you can buy her, in rubber, on her own, but the real deal is to buy her and her 3 sisters together as a combo. Check them out over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.

I used my promarkers to colour, then framed her so that I could add the big red bow beneath her, I was trying to get a vintagy look to this card, hence the paper used (Kaisercraft - Christmas Tradition)
The sentiment is another one of my designs, from the craft sheet, Ticket Sentiments - Christmas.

One, two, three, four, five...

There's a new challenge starting today over at Little Miss Muffet Challenges.
We want you to use a nursery rhyme as inspiration.
I chose...

One, two, three, four, five.
Once I caught a fish alive,
Six, seven, eight, nine ,ten,
Then I let it go again.
Why did you let it go?
Because it bit my finger so.
Which finger did it bite?
This little finger on my right.

and here's my card...

I used Sunbonnet Fishing #1, available in rubber from LMM, or for a great buy, you can buy it as part of a combo deal if you'd prefer.

I lightly sponged the sky in before colouring with my promarkers. I drew in the grass bank and the text by hand. The blue paper is an offcut freebie from a mag, the green from Provocraft's 'tags, bags, boxes & more' paper pad (bought way back when I used to have a cricut machine).
The fishy was made using a Quickutz die, I added a tiny bit of foam padding beneath the fin, popping it out a little.

The fabulous Little Misses have more to share over on the LMM blog.

Now it's over to you, let's see your nursery rhyme inspired cards :)

Christmas in July

Happy Thursday! and a Happy 4th of July to my US friends xx

Today sees another fabulous new release over at Little Miss Muffet Stamps.
There's even more of those adorable Polka Dot Pals to choose from (available as digi's).
Also, there's a range of cute Bugaboo Christmas Fancy Sunbonnet rubber stamps, one of which I chose to showcase today.
This is FSB Christmas Stuff...

The layout for this card was designed by Kathy, for last months Rudolph Day challenge over at Auntys Forum. I have changed the image shape from a circle to square though (sorry Kathy, and i'm sorry for being late with my card too).

I used lots of layers on this card, not only with the papers, but I also layered the image too.

Here's a close up...

I've used my promarkers to colour this little beauty.
The papers are all from the same company, Kaisercraft. I received them as a free gift with my craft mag, the collection is called Christmas Tradition.
The sentiment is one of my own, Ticket Sentiments - Christmas.

I'd like to enter this card at:
